The Accounts Receivable system is a complete billing system, with built in controls to facilitate efficient credit management. The Accounts Receivable system may be used either as a stand-alone module or incorporated within a fully integrated Titan accounting system.
Advantages of the system;
- Cash flow optimisation, resulting from the presentation of, and immediate access to the extensive information retained by the system.
- Comprehensive customer credit control with the resultant reduction in bad debt write-offs.
- Increased productivity through the automation of all the time consuming, but necessary functions associated with a full featured system.
A few of the special features in this system are;
- Balance brought forward or open item accounting
The accounting method can be selected to be used on an individualised basis.
- Instalment accounting
Controls those customers that purchase goods on budget accounts, allowing payment to be made across user definable periods.
- Multiple payment methods
There are four methods of handling payments, ranging from manual to fully automatic payment allocation. An unallocated payments worksheet facilitates the correct posting of unallocated payments.
- Six Accounts Receivable ageing periods
Ageing periods from current to 150+ days.
- Interest on overdue amounts
Interest can be calculated against overdue accounts and the subsequent charge reflected on the customers statements.
- Numeric or alphabetic customer access
Allows data to be accessed by account number, alphabetically or alpha-numerically. The account numbers can also be cross-referenced to customer names or customer names referenced to account numbers.
- User defined cross-reference
Every transaction can be assigned a meaningful cross-reference, which will group similar transactions together.
- Account scanning
The maintenance and enquiry modules incorporate account scanning, enabling any account to be found by partial name or number. This saves time as the account number need not be looked up before accessing data.
- Credit control
Effective credit control reports and reminder letters for optimum collections management.
- Head office accounts
Enables the consolidation of customer accounts for statement and age analysis reports. This feature allows the company's overall exposure to a customer operating countrywide, to be determined on inspection.
- Top '20' rating
Identifies the most valuable customers rated by sales value, allowing their buying patterns to be tracked. This can also be used as a valuable aid to sales personnel to identify key customers.
- Gross profit reporting
Shows the gross profit margin per customer on a month-to-date and year-to-date basis.
- Sales categories
User-definable sales categories provide a twelve month sales category history.
- Alternative sequences
The system enables the customers to be re-sequenced into user-defined alternative sequences for extended grouping and reporting functions.
- Customer mailing labels
Enables the customer file data to be used for marketing and sales purposes.
